LEISURE: Santa Tour with Harlequin Carnival Club

MEMBERS of the Ilminster-based Harlequin Carnival Club will be getting into the festive mood over the next few weeks as it tours the area with Father Christmas.

The special Santa Float will be touring the Ilminster and surrounding area from Monday, December 4, 2017, through to Thursday, December 21, 2017.

The tour stars with visits to Merriott on Monday (December 4, 2017) and Tuesday (December 5, 2017) before heading to South Petherton on Wednesday (December 5, 2017) and Shepton Beauchamp on Thursday (December 7, 2017).

The Harlequin Santa tour moves back to Ilminster from Monday, December 11, 2017, through to Wednesday, December 13, 2017, before going to Broadway and Horton on Thursday, December 14, 2017.

The tour returns to Ilminster on Monday, December 18, 2017, and it will stay in the town until Thursday, December 21, 2017.

Carnivalites will be raising funds which will be shared between the Harlequin Carnival Club and the SURE charity based at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.

Organisers have said that they hope to keep to the itinerary – but warn that there could be changes depending on weather conditions.

But keep a look out in your street early evening to see if the Santa Tour is passing by.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2017: Merriott – Broadway Upper; Sherlands; Sherlands Gardens; Beadon Lane; Higher and Lower Beacon; Hitchen; Gleblands.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2017: Merriott – Broadway Lower; Lower Street; Manor Drive; Shiremoor Hill; Higher Street; Church Street; Newchester Cross.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2017: South Petherton – St Michael’s Gardens; Lightgate.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2017: Shepton Beauchamp – Lambrook Road; Plece Lane; North Street; Robins Lane; Love Lane; Middle Street; Sheep Way.
