LEISURE: Cream tea world record attempt at Ilminster Tesco

A CREAM tea event will be held in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday (September 29, 2017) at the Tesco store in Ilminster as part of a world record attempt by the supermarket giant.
People are being invited to go along to the store from 10.30am for a cream tea and simultaneously link-up with similar events at 25 other Tesco stores around the region.
The organisers are hoping to have more than 700 people tucking into a cream tea all the same time and set a record.
It will be free for the cream tea, but people are asked to make a donation in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
