LEISURE: Octagon crowds support charities to the tune of £10k

THE Octagon Theatre in Yeovil has handed over a whopping £10,087.67 to two local groups following collections from its recent pantomime run of Peter Pan and Christmas carol concert.
The Peter Pan panto was another record-breaking production for the Octagon and was watched by nearly 30,000 people over the festive period.
The Christmas carol concert was also popular with various local groups entertaining the audience.
The money donated in collections will be split between the St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice charity and the Octagon’s own Foyer Club which is a registered charity and fundraises in support of the arts.
Adam Burgan, of the Octagon Theatre, said he would like to thank everyone for their fantastic support.
