THE Ilminster 2381 Squadron of the ATC will be holding a recruitment evening next month where new cadets can go along and enrol.

The ATC meets every Tuesday and Thursday evenings and cadets get involved with a huge number of activities.

These include flying fixed wing and helicopters, gliding, flight simulator, live shooting, sports, adventure and fieldcraft training, archery, tug of war, model building and flying, overseas visits, trips to military bases, overnight stays on a warship and Easter and summer camps at RAF stations.

A spokesman said: “We will be holding an intake evening for new recruits on Thursday, April 14, 2016.

“If you know anyone who is interested (- they must be in Year Eight or above - then please let them know.

“If they would like any further information they can contact me on 01460-57055 (parade evenings only) or they can email me on oc.2381@aircadets.org.”
