CRICKET: Race night runs up the funds for South Petherton CC
A FUNDRAISING race night coined in nearly £800 for South Petherton Cricket Club.
The event was held at the Brewers Arms in South Petherton and amassed a total of £759.60.
A spokesman for the club, which plays in the Somerset Cricket League, said: “We would like to thank the Brewers Arms for hosting the event and to all those that organised the night for the club and those that helped on the night.
“We’d also like to thank the race sponsors, the people who bought horses and, of course, everyone who made the effort to attend and support the event.”
