CARNIVAL: Duck Race in South Petherton

THE annual fundraising duck race in aid of South Petherton Carnival will be held on Easter Sunday (Sunday, March 27, 2016) from 3pm.

The plastic duck action will start from 3pm at the Hele Lane ‘sheepwash’ in South Petherton and the little duckies will swim their way round the village to the finish at Silver Street.

The results will then be announced at the Brewers Arms in St James Street, South Petherton.

People can buy ducks priced £2 each or three for £5 and they will be available tomorrow (Friday, March 25, 2016), Saturday (March 26, 2016) or Sunday (March 27, 2016) mornings from the Brewers Arms archway or N&D News.

It is always a popular event and raises a good amount each year for the South Petherton Carnival which is held in early September.

This year’s duck race will be the 16th annual event.
