LEISURE: Former F1 racing champ Damon Hill coming to Yeovil

MOTORACING legend Damon Hill will be zooming into Yeovil next month to meet F1 fans and sign copies of his new autobiography – 20 years after becoming the King of Speed.
Hill, who won the Formula One championship back in 1996, will be at the Waterstone’s store in Middle Street, Yeovil, on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at 4pm.
Watching the Wheels is Hill’s “deeply personal” memoir of his journey through the last golden era of F1 when he took on the greats of the sport from Ayton Senna to Michael Schumacher and emerged victorious as world champion.

Hill gained 22 wins and 42 podium finishes in his F1 career spanning 115 race starts. He retired from racing after the 1999 season.
He is the son of Graham Hill and is the only son of a F1 world champion to win the title himself.
NOTE: Apologies. Earlier we said that TV chef Rick Stein would be heading to Waterstone's Yeovil also in September. This is incorrect.
