CLUBS AND SOCIETIES: Recruitment evening at Ilminster Air Training Corps

THE Ilminster 2381 Squadron of the ATC will be holding a recruitment evening TONIGHT (Thursday, April 14, 2016) where new cadets can go along and get involved.

The ATC meets at its headquarters in Shudrick Lane every Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7.15pm to 9.30pm and cadets get involved with a huge number of activities.

These include flying fixed wing and helicopters, gliding, flight simulator, live shooting, sports, adventure and fieldcraft training, archery, tug of war, model building and flying, overseas visits, trips to military bases, overnight stays on a warship and Easter and summer camps at RAF stations.

Young people from Year Eight are eligible to sign up for the Ilminster Squadron of the ATC.
