CLUBS AND SOCIETIES: Annual meeting for Heritage of the Ile Trust

A FORMER chairman of Ilminster Town Council will be the guest speaker at the annual meeting of the Heritage of the Ile Trust later this month.
Tony Goverd will give a short history of Herne Hill during the meeting which will be held at the Shrubbery Hotel in Ilminster on Thursday, April 21, 2016, at 7.30pm.
Mr Goverd will give his presentation following the business matters of the AGM and there will also be a display of photographs from the Heritage of the Ile’s collection and a slideshow.
The Trust is an Ilminster-based group of local people who look to preserve the past of the area for the benefit of future generations.
There will be a buffet supper as well – which is optional – at the meeting at a price of £8 per head. To assist with the arrangements and catering anyone wanting a buffet should contact Heritage of the Ile secretary David Irish at davidirish@btinternet.com or phone 01460-52996 by April 18, 2016.
