CLUBS AND SOCIETIES: Lions support Ilminster Youth FC

MEMBERS of the Ilminster Lions Club were almost tempted to put their boots back on and start kicking a ball again when they went to meet Ilminster Youth Football Club.
The Lions were down at Ilminster Recreation Ground earlier this month on Saturday, March 19, 2016, to present the club with a £350 cheque.
The money has gone towards paying for new portable goalposts for the thriving club which plays host to dozens of young budding footballers.
The Lions club members were joined by Ilminster councillors, Carol Goodall and Val Keitch, of South Somerset District Council, for the presentation.
Ilminster Youth FC chairman Jamie Lee would like to thank the Lions club for their donation and the town council for its continued support.
