ILMINSTER NEWS: Nominations wanted for Bradley Cullen Youth Citizens Award

NOMINATIONS are needed for the Bradley Cullen Youth Citizens Award which recognises the work of young people in Ilminster.
The award is being run by Ilminster Town Council and is to allow the community to recognise a young person who has contributed significantly towards the benefit of the town.
Nominations should be received by the council by Sunday, April 10, 2016. Nomination forms and details of eligibility can be obtained from the council offices in North Street, Ilminster, or by calling 01460-52149 or emailing town.council@ilminster.gov.uk .
Nominees must be 18 and under, live in Ilminster or have done so within the 12 months immediately prior to the closing date for nominations or go to school in Ilminster.
Alternatively nominees may be an active member of an Ilminster-based organisation, while the award can also be issued posthumously provided that the nomination closing date is no more than one year since the nominee died.

The award is in memory of Bradley Cullen, a student at Wadham School in Crewkerne having previously been a pupil at Swanmead School in Ilminster, who died in 2013 at the age of 15 having lived with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
