LEISURE: Churchill War Rooms and Afternoon Tea

A DAY trip is being run to the Churchill War Rooms in Central London next month to allow people the chance to gain a fascinating insight into the underground headquarters where Winston Churchill and his wartime Government directed the course of the Second World War.
The trip is being organised by Yeovil-based South West Coaches on Monday, April 11, 2016, and will cost £59.95 for adults and £55.95 for children.
The coach will be leaving from Yeovil at 8am and then from Wincanton at 8.35am.
The secret bunker and museum tells the story of Winston Churchill's life and legacy. People will be able to explore the historic rooms that once buzzed with the strategies and secrets, also visit the interactive Churchill Museum.
The trip will be followed by an afternoon tea at The Grosvenor Hotel in Victoria where people will be able to sit back and enjoy the grandeur that defines every detail of this classic London hotel.
