LEISURE: Charity Smart Phone Quiz at the Crown Inn with PubAid

FUNDS will be raised at the Crown Inn in Ilminster on Sunday (March 4, 2018) for Prostate Cancer UK when it takes part in a nationwide Smart Phone Quiz.
The event will form part of the World’s Biggest Pub Quiz organised by PubAid with all proceeds going to the charity which supports the diagnosis, treatment, prevention needed to stop men dying from prostate cancer.
People wanting to take part in the Smart Phone Quiz need to be at the Crown Inn in West Street by 7pm on Sunday.
Landlord Matt Sainsbury said: “This is a new concept in Pub Quizzes where there are no pens & paper! All answers are made via a smart phone using the free app.
“This will enable the answers to be timed as well as have a live leader board on the big screen. Each team will choose a team name and a suitable 'buzzer' for the speed rounds.”
And Matt added: “If this proves to be a success it will become a monthly event.”
So get along to the Crown Inn on Sunday (March 4, 2018) and have a go at the Smart Phone Quiz.
