LEISURE: Don’t miss out on the fun at Sunnymead Country Fete

PEOPLE are being reminded to go along and support a charity fete on Saturday (September 2, 2017) which is being organised by well-known Ilminster trader Angie Blackwell.

Angie, of the award-winning Cottage Flowers, will be hosting the fete at Sunnymead in Frost Lane, Ilton, from 11am to 5pm and there will be something for all the family to enjoy.

The Sunnymead Country Fete, as it is called, will be raising money for the Beacon Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton and St Mary’s and St Peter’s Primary School in Ilton for an outdoor classroom.

There will be pony rides, a bouncy castle, skittles, diggers, children’s races and much more along with a hog roast, ploughman lunches, and cream teams.

Already Angie would like to thank all the local groups and businesses for supporting the fete including the RNLI Shop, Tesco, Co-op, Harrimans, Harper Dolman and West, Frame of Mind, Greenslade Taylor Hunt, Tarr Residential, Bonners Butchers, Minster Vets and Ilminster Town Football Club.

That is alongside the people of Horton, Barrington, Seavington, Puckington and Ilton and groups such as Barrington Gardening Club, Barrington Ladies, Ilminster Women’s Institute, Ile Valley Flower Flower Club and Whitelackington Art Group for their continued support and all of their help towards the fete.

Entrance is £1 for adults and free for children.
