SCHOOL NEWS: Infectious personality wins the day for student Josh Berrington at Swanmead

A STUDENT with an “infectious personality” won the Ilminster Rotary Community Award on Wednesday (July 19, 2017) at Swanmead School’s top night of the year.
Josh Berrington was presented with the award by Ilminster Rotary Club’s community services chairman Ken Dewsbury during Swanmead’s Celebration of Achievement Evening.
Headteacher Mark Walker said Josh had an “infectious personality” and always had “many, many, many, many things to tell you.”
He said Josh was always full of “positivity” and was “never in a mood and always had a smile on his face.”
The Ilminster Rotary Community Award is presented to a student who enthusiastically and positively demonstrates and participates in promoting a positive school spirit.
This is provided through regular participation in extra-curricular and school-wide events and in honouring the school code of conduct through their actions.
