CLUBS AND SOCIETIES: Silence is golden for Ilminster Young Farmers
MEMBERS of the Ilminster Young Farmers’ Club have presented a cheque for nearly £2,500 to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
The club members raised the money – a total of £2,442.88 to be precise – by holding a silent disco which proved a big success.
The silent disco sees people wear a set of headphones where they can choose which DJ to listen to and then dance the night away in silence, apart from the out-of-tune singing of the disco-goers.
