LEISURE: Musical Mayhem with the youth group of Broadway Amateur Theatrical Society

TALENTED members of the youth section of the Broadway Amateur Theatrical Society will be wowing audiences this week with a night of Musical Mayhem.
The youngsters have worked hard to put together a hugely entertaining show of music taken from some of the most popular musicals of all-time.
Included in the show – which is being performed at Broadway village hall on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (May 18-20, 2017) at 7.30pm – are songs from Mary Poppins, Les Miserables, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, Hairspray and High School Musical.
There are also some fine solo performances with Jessica Withers singing Teach Me How To Be Loved; Lily Cumming with Skyfall; Tiegan Owen with Dancing On My Own; Lucy Speke with Pretty Polly; Lorna Warren with Turning Tables; Teddy Sterry with Photograph; and a brilliant and unexpected rendition of Human, of Rag and Bone Man fame, by Ella De-Warren-Penny.

The show is being directed and produced by Lisa Souster and Jo Warren.
Tickets are priced £5 for adults and £3 for youth and available from Horton Post Office or you can just take a chance and turn up on the night. The Friday show is busy by all accounts, but there are tickets available for the Thursday and Saturday shows.
