SCHOOL NEWS: Pupils learn about the dangers of railway tracks

GREENFYLDE First School pupils in Ilminster now all know how to stay safe near railway tracks after a visit from Great Western Electrification Community Safety Group.
Ali and Steve, from Great Western Electrification CSG, spoke to all the classes about the dangers from tracks and trains and how the speed the trains travel means children need to avoid going on any tracks.
Greenfylde headteacher Claire Oaten said: “Their thought proving talks inspired lots of questions and helped the pupils think of another way in which to keep themselves safe.”
