SCHOOL NEWS: Sunny Ile enjoys World Book Day

THE children and staff at Sunny Ile Pre School in Ilminster - part of Greenfylde First School - took part in World Book day and dressed as their favourite book character.

The annual World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and – most importantly – it is a celebration of reading.

Thursday (March 2, 2017) marked the 20th year there has been a World Book Day and children of all ages from around the world have come together to appreciate reading.

The main aim of World Book Day in the UK and Ireland is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading.
