CHRISTMAS 2016: Special festive lunch at Monks Yard and YOU can nominate the guest list

NOMINATIONS are being sought for those elderly and isolated people in our community who could do with some festive cheer – courtesy of the team at Monks Yard near Ilminster.
Monks Yard is a business, conference and party venue and is very much a supporter of the local community and now wants to bring some Christmas food, music and laughter to those who may not necessarily get the chance to enjoy such things.
A special Christmas lunch – with all the trimmings – will be held at Monks Yard on Sunday, December 18, 2016, in association with the Tesco store in Ilminster. But they want to know who they should invite.
A Monks Yard spokesman said: “This year we would love to put on a Christmas lunch for the elderly and isolated in our community.
“If anyone knows someone who deserves a bit of festive spirit, a scrumptious Christmas lunch and a chance to join together for a few carols then please nominate them.”
Forms are available at Monks Yard based at Horton Cross from café manager Carol or pop into the Tesco store in Ilminster and speak to its community champion Helena Jones or contact via email mycommunity@themonksyard.co.uk .
Completed forms must be received by the team at Monks Yard by Friday, November 25, 2016.
