LEISURE: Quiz night for defibrillator appeal

A QUIZ night will be held this weekend at the Royal Oak pub in Ilminster to help raise funds for the ongoing defibrillator appeal.
People are invited to go along to the pub in Ditton Street for the quiz at 7pm on Sunday (May 1, 2016) with a maximum of eight per team.
It will cost £2 per person to take part in the quiz, while the winners will receive 50 per cent of the proceeds with the other 50 per cent going to the defibrillator appeal.
A fundraising group was formed earlier this year to help fund the buying of two defibrillator machines which can be used by members of the public to help someone who is suffering a heart attack.
It is expected that one machine will be installed at the new Archie Gooch Pavilion in Britten’s Field and the other will be in a town centre location.
