SCHOOL NEWS: Fantastic effort by the SCOFF team at Swanmead

THE Swanmead Community of Families and Friends group in Ilminster raised a whopping £3,206 for school funds during 2016-17.
The SCOFF committee would like to thank everyone for their support over the year by attending the various events put on.
The next event organised by the SCOFF team is a Family Barn Dance to be held on Friday, November 10, 2017, from 7pm.
Tickets are priced £5 for adults and £2.50 for children for the barn dance which will be held at Swanmead School in Ditton Street.
There will also be a licensed bar and hot dogs available.
Tickets can be bought from the school office.
A Swanmead spokesman said: “Please come along and support us – raising money for the pupils of Swanmead.”
The SCOFF committee for 2017-18 is as follows: Chairman – Jo Gibbins; treasurer – Tracey Lamb; secretary – Ruth Moran; committee members – Shaun Kent, Ellen Francis, Kirsty Lefeuvre and Kate Murdoch.
The next SCOFF meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at 6.45pm in Room 5 at Swanmead.
New members and helpers are always welcome to join in.
