SCHOOL NEWS: End of the story with long-serving librarian leaving Swanmead

THE library at Swanmead Community School in Ilminster will never be the same with the news that long-standing librarian Ann Bulmer is leaving the role.
Since September 2000 the school and its students have been lucky enough to have had Mrs Bulmer as their librarian.
“Much has changed in the 17 years since Ann started with us, but with the systems and organisation of our school library have always remained of the highest standards thanks to her,” said Swanmead headteacher Mark Walker.
“Ann has brought to the library an unrivalled passion for reading and, as part of her responsibilities, has enjoyed working alongside the children to order new books and resources.”
Mr Walker added: “The library will not seem the same without opening the door and seeing Mrs Bulmer.
“We thank her for all she has contributed over many years and wish her the very best for the future.”
