SCHOOL NEWS: Abigail Locke has been a superb asset t Swanmead

STUDENT Abigail Locke received the Headteacher’s Award during Swanmead School’s annual Celebration of Achievement Evening in Ilminster.

Abigail was described by headteacher Mark Walker as a “wonderful person to teach” during the awards evening on Wednesday (July 19, 2017).

Mr Walker said Abigail worked hard and made good progress and had “given her all to school life” at Swanmead.

“She’s a superb asset to the school,” said Mr Walker.

The headteacher added that Abigail also enjoyed celebrating the successes of others and would “cheer and clap the loudest.”

Mr Walker was delighted to present Abigail with the annual Headteacher’s Award. The cup is awarded at the discretion of the headteacher in recognition of any aspect of school life or individual performance within the academic year and could go to an individual or group of students.
