SCHOOL NEWS: Celebrating a Day of Celebration at Holyrood Academy

HOLYROOD Academy in Chard turned on the style and the glamour – plus a huge chunk of all-important fun – as Year 11 students enjoyed the annual Celebration Day.

The Year 11 students arrived at Holyrood on Friday (June 30, 2017) in a whole host of different forms of transport including lorries, camper vans, vintage vehicles, classic sports cars, tractors and a horse and carriage.

Parents, family members and friends – plus teaching staff – were there to greet them on what is arguably the highlight of the school calendar at Holyrood.

Once the cavalcade had arrived and moved on the students then went inside for a celebration assembly as they looked back on five years at Holyrood.

It really was a day to remember for the students.

We tried to photograph all the students as they arrived and we apologise if anyone got missed off – but we are sure they were “snapped” at some point by somebody in the crowds!
