BASKETBALL: Opening win of the season for Holyrood Academy

HOLYROOD Academy’s Year 7-8 basketball team from Chard gained a win in their first game of the new season.

An exciting game ensued with Holyrood securing a well-deserved victory over The Park School from Yeovil.

Holyrood dominated the first two quarters and gained an eight-point lead at the interval.

In the second-half, The Park School back strongly and whittled away the lead to tie the game up going into the last minute.

Holyrood star player Matt Green secured the winning basket to end the game and Holyrood won 15pts-13.
