SCHOOL NEWS: Swanmead pupils asked to wear correct uniform

PARENTS of pupils at Swanmead School in Ilminster have been asked to make sure that their children do wear the right school uniform.
Headteacher Mark Walker has said that to continue the high standards the school has for its pupils it is important to maintain a “strict policy when it comes to school uniform.”
“Can I remind parents to refer to our school’s uniform policy - which can be found on our school website - as we enter the summer months,” he said in a recent school newsletter.
“A particular focus for our tutors will be to keep an eye on insisting that children continue to wear smart shoes and also to ensure that tight, jean-style trousers do not replace the necessary smart black or grey trousers.”
