SCHOOL NEWS: All prize winning Swanmead students named here

DOZENS of students at Swanmead Community School in Ilminster were presented with awards on Wednesday (July 19, 2017) during the annual Celebration of Achievement Evening.

There were various achievement, progress and effort class prizes given out, as well as awards for individual subjects.

Three awards for Pupil of the Trip were also presented for Swanmead’s visits to Osmington Bay, Cardiff and Great Wood, while the evening closed with the presentation of the main awards.

Headteacher Mark Walker told the assembled packed main hall of students, staff, governors and special guests that the Celebration Evening was always the highlight of the school calendar.

And so it proved once again – many congratulations to all the prize winners.

Class Prizes: Achievement – Martha Godfrey, Emma Purdey, Joseph Sainsbury, Joseph Baker. Progress – Nikola Saladiak, Charlotte Fade, Amy Cox, Noah Baker. Effort – Evan Galfin, Corey Hill, Alfie Nippard, Emma Stocks.

Pupil of the Trip: Osmington Bay – Summer Stoodley. Cardiff – Joe Gray. Great Wood – Evie Lee.
