SCHOOL NEWS: Jack and the Beanstalk with special guests!

PUPILS at Greenfylde First School entertained audiences with their end of year show Jack and the Beanstalk – with special guest appearances from Del Boy and Rodney, Ant and Dec and even the Countryfile team!
The Year Four pupils, ably assisted by Year Three choirs, at Greenfylde School spent the last few weeks rehearsing their Leavers Play which they performed at the Warehouse Theatre in Ilminster.
The chosen play was Jack and the Beanstalk, based largely around Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes poems, but with lots of extra additions of topical and local news and television excerpts, plus those all-important guest appearances.
Sian Sainsbury, Year Four teacher and drama co-ordinator, said: “The children performed brilliantly - for most of them the first time on a real stage under real lights - and showed no signs of nerves on any of the three nights they performed.”
Thanks goes to the Warehouse Theatre for looking after Greenfylde School so well during rehearsals and performances.
