SCHOOL NEWS: Headteacher and team are top of the SCOFF quiz class

HEADTEACHER Mark Walker is not headteacher of Swanmead School for no reason – he led his team to success yet again in the ever-popular quiz held at the school in Ilminster.
It came as no surprise to fellow quizzers at the recent quiz, organised by the fundraising Swanmead Community of Families and Friends group known as SCOFF, that Mr Walker and his Profs team beat off all-comers once again to take away the trophy.
Quiz master for the night was Roger Swann, a former teacher himself, who is a well-known councillor on Ilminster Town Council.
