SCHOOL NEWS: Spring fair at Ashill

PARENTS and friends joined pupils and local residents at Ashill Primary School for the annual spring fair organised by the very active PTFA.
Dozens of stalls were set up to provide something for everyone from the popular wine or water game, to plants provided by well-known local gardener Kath Crouch, homemade cakes, art and crafts, face painting and games galore.
The school’s headteacher Janet Woodman, who manned the raffle stall, welcomed Ilminster town crier Andrew Fox and his consort, wife Julie, to the fete along with Cllr Linda Vijeh, of Somerset County Council and South Somerset District Council.
Pupils performed songs during the fete to the on-looking visitors.
