ILMINSTER NEWS: Congratulations to the Moonwalkers

FOUR women have successfully completed the 26-mile Walk the Walk Moonwalk around London for charity.
Gemma Champion, Kym Toms, Claire Stephenson and Aby Bidgood, well-known in the Ilminster area, took part in the annual night-time Moonwalk on Saturday, May 11, to help raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Research.
They have raised £1,738 and would like to thank everyone for their support but, for the time being, they are going to be putting their feet up!
If you would like to support them go online to their fundraising page at https://bit.ly/2Cp9sak for more information.
In the excitement of the girls’ success we inadvertently and inaccurately reported in last week’s May edition of the Ilminster Press community newspaper that they raised a whopping £7,500.
Obviously – a slight exaggeration on our part – but we’re confident that when they let their feet do the talking on more long-distance charity walks in the future they will soon be reaching that total!
