ILMINSTER NEWS: Lions Club thanks Tesco duo

THE community champion at the Tesco store in Ilminster was left – unusually – speechless when she was presented with an award from the local Lions Club.
Members of Ilminster Lions Club were at the store in Shudrick Lane on Saturday, December 16, 2017, with a fundraising tombola stall when they surprised community champ Helena Jones with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of her fundraising work in the town.
Helena said: “It was a lovely surprise, but I have to accept this award on behalf of my fantastic colleagues and all of our wonderful customers at Tesco.”
The store manager at Tesco Ilminster, Sara Goodchild, was also presented with a certificate of appreciation by the Lions Club as a way of thanking her for her support of local groups and good causes.
