ILMINSTER NEWS: Warehouse fire at old Horlicks site was arson

ARSONISTS are being blamed for the large fire which completely gutted a warehouse building on the old Horlicks site in Ilminster.
The alarm was raised by several members of the public at around 3pm on Friday (November 3, 2017) to a fire at a building on Station Road.
It took nearly five hours for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service to bring the situation under control with firefighting crews attending from Chard, Taunton, Ilminster, Axminster, Martock, Crewkerne, Honiton, Beaminster, Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, Yeovil and Street.
Firefighters used an aerial ladder as a water tower to firefight the blaze which, according to the Fire Service, was “started deliberately.”
Duty of care was left with the police who were due to start investigations on Saturday (November 4, 2017) morning along with fire officers.
Thankfully, the Fire Service reported there were no casualties.
Anyone with information about the fire can contact police on 101.
