ILMINSTER NEWS: Four-vehicle crash on A358 at Peasmarsh

FOUR vehicles were involved in a nasty crash on the A358 on the outskirts of Ilminster and Chard.
The alarm was raised at just before 7.45pm this evening (Friday, March 4, 2016) to the incident near Peasmarsh and fire engines from Chard and Taunton were mobilised.
On arrival officers confirmed the crash involved four vehicles with two people trapped inside two of the vehicles.
At just before 8.15pm a request was made for more personnel to be mobilised and a fire engine from Ilminster was sent out.
Officers used hydraulic cutting equipment to help release casualties.
“Two vehicles had their roofs cut off to extricate the casualties and all other vehicles were made safe on the scene,” said a spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
