SOMERSET NEWS: Ella Read has been found safe
POLICE announced on Tuesday (January 30, 2018) afternoon that missing Chard schoolgirl Ella Read had been found safe.
Officers had put out an urgent appeal earlier in the day for information as Ella had travelled to Holyrood Academy in Chard by bus on Monday (January 29, 2018) morning, but had not reported for registration.
Hundreds of people shared the appeal on social media and it was at around 2.30pm that police were able to announce that Ella had been found.
“Good news – missing 14-year-old Ella Read has been found safe,” said a police spokesman. “We’d like to thank everyone who helped share our earlier appeal to find her.”
