ILMINSTER NEWS: Tesco thanks customers for continued support

THE Ilminster branch of Tesco has thanked its wonderful customers for once again supporting a year-long fundraising campaign which has coined in nearly £20,000.
The store’s community champion, Helena Jones, said she could not thank the customers enough for their generous donations throughout the past 12 months and for always supporting the various fundraising events held in the supermarket.
Helena announced that the store had raised a total of £19,915.56 for various charities and organisations during the course of the year.
This included a donation of £4,734.70 in aid of Tesco’s two national nominated charities – Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation.
The Ilminster store is one of 26 which make up the Group 48 South West network of Tesco supermarkets which raised a total of £109,000 for the chosen national charities.
