ILMINSTER AREA NEWS: Police appeal after fatal crash on A358

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A358 between Ilminster and Taunton.

The collision, between a VW Passat and a Volvo lorry, happened at about 6pm on Friday (January 27, 2017) at the junction for Broadway.

A police spokesman said: “The driver of the Passat, a 63-year-old man from Southampton, sadly died at the scene of the collision.

“A passenger in the car was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.”
