ILMINSTER AREA NEWS: Chimney fire at Ilton

ILMINSTER firefighters were called out on Thursday (January 19, 2017) night to deal with a chimney fire at a home at Ilton.
The alarm was raised at just after 9pm and one fire engine from Ilminster was mobilised to the scene in Copse Lane.
Firefighters quickly got to work to deal with the situation and to check the roof space for any hot spots.
“The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental,” said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman.
