SOMERSET NEWS: Lengthy delays on M5 following multi vehicle crash

MOTORISTS have been advised of delays on the M5 following the multi-vehicle crash between Bridgwater and Highbridge.
The police have reported at just after midday that the northbound carriageway has been closed between Junctions 24-23 following the crash involving at least nine vehicles which happened at around 11am on Monday (January 2, 2017).
Thankfully nobody was seriously injured in the incident.
Photographer Brian Bateman sent us this photo of the tailbacks which have been caused as a result of the crash on the M5. He took this photo from the bridge overlooking the M5 on Westonzoyland Road at Bridgwater at 12.15pm.
Motorists are being advised to try and avoid the area if necessary.
