SOMERSET NEWS: Pedestrian left fighting for life after crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Taunton on Monday (December 12, 2016) night.
The incident involved a car and two female pedestrians and happened in Greenway Road at about 9.15pm.
The two pedestrians were taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton – one of them has serious life threatening head injuries and the other an arm injury.
A police spokesman said: “The driver of the car – a man in his 20s – was arrested shortly after the incident and remains in police custody. He has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help our investigations.”
