SOMERSET NEWS: My daughter could have been killed after terrifying incident on busy road

POLICE are investigating after a father said his two-year-old daughter could have been killed when a rock was thrown at the car they were driving in and shattered a window.
Luke Adams was driving along Toneway in Taunton with his toddler daughter Ivy on Sunday (November 27, 2016) afternoon when the horrific incident took place.
“It was sometime between 2.45pm and 3pm when some idiot threw a rock at the car,” he said.
“Luckily the rock bounced off the window and didn’t hit my daughter who was sat in that seat.
“Thankfully Ivy suffered just a few small cuts, but God knows how bad it could have been.”

The incident happened just before the slip road by the Audi garage and a motorist behind Luke, who stopped to make sure everyone was ok, told him that they had seen some youths in the area.
“There’s a bridge there with an underpass going under the dual-carriageway and I was told that they’d seen some people in hoodies who had thrown the rock and then ran off,” said Luke.
“They could have killed a two-year-old if the rock had gone through the window. I was in complete shock – the noise was terrifying when it happened.”
Luke added that his daughter was now perfectly fine – but nevertheless still thinks that they had a very lucky escape.
Police have been informed and anyone with information about this incident can contact them on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
