SOMERSET NEWS: Murder investigation launched in Taunton

POLICE have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Taunton.
Officers were called to a property in Bircham Road by the Ambulance Service at just after 1pm on Saturday (November 19, 2016).
A man in his 30s was found inside the property with serious injuries and despite the efforts of paramedics, he died at the scene.
A 31-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning. A 25-year-old man was also arrested on Saturday (November 19, 2016) but has been released without charge.
Senior investigating officer Andy Mott said: “We're carrying out a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man's death and a Home Office pathologist is due to carry out a post-mortem examination to determine how he died.
“Although we're still at an early stage, we can confirm the victim and the arrested woman were known to each other.
“I’d like to reassure the local community that there’s no wider risk to the public as a result of this tragic incident.
