ILMINSTER NEWS: Floristry career is blooming for Jacalyn

AN ILMINSTER florist has been enjoying the wonderful scent of success after gaining a distinction in her latest floristry exam.
Jacalyn Arscott joined the Cottage Flowers team in 2004 aged just 14 as a Saturday girl and helping in the shop and setting-up weddings with Angie and Brenda.
She then went on to do part-time work during school before being taken on as a full employee after taking Level 2 and Level 3 exams at Cannington College.
Now Jacalyn, earlier this year, qualified with distinction at the Academy of Floral Art in Exeter with her Higher Diploma Level 4.
A delighted Jacalyn said: “I love working in Ilminster, it's such a friendly town and couldn't imagine working with anyone other than the Cottage Flower girls.
“Every day is different and every week brings a new and exciting creative project. After spending the last year designing and creating for my own wedding, I am looking forward to another busy year with Cottage Flowers.”
It can be safely said that Jacalyn is a “bloomin’ marvellous” member of the team at Cottage Flowers which is based in East Street, Ilminster.
