SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Can you give the Marmite Dog a home?

HE will either love you to bits and will be your best friend, or he just won’t. That is why staff at Ferne Animal Sanctuary near Chard have dubbed Busby, the Marmite Dog.
Busby has been waiting too long for a new home. Through no fault he was handed over to Ferne months ago and is just waiting patiently for the right home and owner.
He does not suit a life in kennels well as he is a typical Jack Russell who needs space to run around and is loyal, so desperately needs someone to bond with.
Ferne Animal Sanctuary is hoping, with your help, it can have a new home lined up for him on his return from a brief foster care break from kennels.
Busby is a gorgeous four-year-old Jack Russell. He is a friendly, clever, playful little dog with bags of character. He loves human attention and being out and about. He would ideally suit someone who lives in a rural setting, happy for their dog to follow them around at work, on a yard or farm or to just be your perfect little companion.
“Busby is adorable and bags of fun, but he doesn't get on with all dogs and would have to be the only pet in the home,” said Tara Nirula, Ferne’s re-homing manager.
“He’s a typical Jack Russell, fun, curious, loyal and knows his own mind. Ideally, he’d be best suited with an owner who is a strong leader and that will give him the confidence he needs.
“You will never have a dull moment with this dog and he has lots of love to give!”
If you think you might be able to offer the home Busby is waiting for, please call the Sanctuary on 01460-65214.
Ferne Animal Sanctuary is a registered charity and relies on the support of the public and dedicated volunteers to continue its vital work. Ferne has been caring for unwanted and abandoned animals for over 75 years.
