ILMINSTER AREA NEWS: Monks Yard backs Macmillan Cancer Support

MACMILLAN Cancer Support will be the beneficiary of today’s (Friday, September 30, 2016) MY Community Day at Monks Yard near Ilminster.
There are lots of delicious home baked cakes to buy up until 5pm and from around 3.30pm/4pm children will be able to meet Macmillan’s very own mascot Muggy who is popping in to say "hello."
On one day each month the popular café at Monks Yard, based at Horton Cross is dedicated to MY Community Day where the takings equally shared 50-50 between a local group or charity and the staff.
The idea has been running for a year and has been a big success and it is all part of Monks Yard’s ethos of wanting to do something for the “community.”
