CRICKET: Another good year for Ilminster Youth CC

ILMINSTER Youth Cricket Club had another fantastic season with lots of success among the teams and celebrated during the annual presentation night at The Shed.
The Under-10s had an enjoyable season and showed massive improvement throughout the year and thanks go to Darren Grinter , Mark English and Paul Sainsbury for all their hard work.
The Under-11s finished in mid-table in the strong Taunton League and the team would like to thank Tony Millett for all his efforts.
The Under-12s, again under Tony Millett, had an outstanding season and won the Mid-Wessex League and Cup and went through the summer unbeaten.
The Under-13s had a tough season due to numerous county call ups but had some good performances and thanks go to Louis Kraucamp for all his efforts.
The Under-14s, under Craig Rice, had a fantastic year and won the Mid-Wessex league after going unbeaten throughout the season.
The Under-15s, also under Craig Rice, did really well in the strong Taunton League and were in the title race right up until the end of the season before eventually finishing third.
Awards: Under-10s: Batsman - James Treacher; Bowler – Luke Theobald; All Rounder - Lachlan Rice; Manager’s Player - Ben English.
Under-11s: Batsman - JT Langridge; Bowler - Murren Crouch; All Rounder - Josh Lamb; Manager’s Player - Archie O'Neil.
Under-13s: Batsman - Riley Millett; Bowler - Joel Harris; All Rounder- Josh Key; Manager’s Player - Shay Keough.
Under-14s: Batsman - Dean Vincent; Bowler - Callum Rice; All Rounder- Ryan Lewis; Manager’s Player- Oscar Smith.
Under-15s: Batsman - George Gladman; Bowler - Ryan Lewis; All Rounder- Niall Crouch; Manager’s Player - Harry Paul.
Congratulations to Michael McNee, Riley Millett, JT Langridge and Joel Harris who all got into the county squads this year and to Ryan Lewis, James Salaman and Josh Lamb on representing the district team.
Awards were presented during the presentation night by Ilminster Mayor, Cllr Val Keitch, and the club would like to thank her for doing the honours.
