ILMINSTER AREA NEWS: Motorcyclist killed in crash

POLICE have announced that a motorcyclist from the Ilminster area has been killed in a crash.
Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the B3153 yesterday (Saturday, September 24, 2016) at Kingweston near Somerton.
A police spokesman said: “The collision, which happened at around 10.45am, involved a blue Mitsubishi, a red VW transporter and a red Ducati motorbike.
“The motorcyclist, a 69-year-old man from the Ilminster area, died at the scene from his injuries.
“The road was closed for several hours while an investigation was carried out.”
If you witnessed the collision or saw any of these vehicles in this area around the time of the collision, please call the Collision Investigation Unit on 101 and give the call handler the reference number CI/198/16.
