ILMINSTER AREA NEWS: Person rescued from vehicle left in ditch
EMERGENCY services were called out this evening (Monday, August 1, 2016) after getting reports of a vehicle having ended up a ditch near Ilminster.
The alarm was raised at just after 6.30pm to the problem on the Old A358 at Horton and firefighters from Ilminster, Chard and Taunton were mobilised.
“We found one vehicle on its side in a ditch and one person was trapped inside the vehicle,” said a spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and rescue Service.
“We used hydraulic cutting tools and small tools to extricate the casualty who was then conveyed to hospital by land ambulance.”
