ILMINSTER NEWS: Nomination forms available at Tesco for Pride of Ilminster awards

THE Tesco store in Ilminster is looking for those people who really go the extra mile for the local community.
The store in Shudrick Lane has teamed up with the Shrubbery Hotel to launch the Pride of Ilminster awards – but the organisers need your nominations.
There are various categories for people to nominate those who think deserve to be recognised for the work they do in the town.
There will be awards for services to children, care for our elderly, contribution to the community and overall Pride of Ilminster awards.
A gala dinner will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the Shrubbery Hotel in Ilminster where 50 people who have been nominated will be able to attend with a guest and find out the winners.
Tesco Ilminster’s community champion, Helena Jones, said: “We are always hearing about those great people in the town who do so much for others.
“The list is endless and we know there are many Good Samaritans out there in the Ilminster community that really deserve a big thank you.
“We have teamed up with the Shrubbery Hotel and will be putting on a Pride of Somerset gala dinner – a night where your nominee could be invited to a special evening to be recognised for their outstanding contribution.”
Nomination forms for the Pride of Ilminster awards are available NOW in the Tesco store in Shudrick Lane.
People can pick up a form, go home and fill it in and then return it to the Pride of Ilminster Post Box at the customer service desk at Tesco.
Helena added: “Fifty people and their guests will be chosen by our panel and invited to the gala dinner – but we need your help.
“Please tell us about those people in our community who deserve to be recognised – let’s bring out the best in our beautiful town of Ilminster.
Nomination forms need to be returned to Tesco by August 27, 2016.
